NeNe Leakes Builds On Her Empire

NeNe Leakes’ career seems to be red hot these days. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star will be re-joining Glee for it’s final season, and is also first in line to replace Joan Rivers on E’s hit show “Fashion Police.” Although she is up against comedian Kathy Griffin, a heavy hitter in the business, an insider believes Leakes may end up with the job due to her comedic timing and because the network is looking to diversify their current panel. The new season is set to air January 2015.

Over 850 women, celebrities, church figures and community leaders turned out to celebrate L.A. Focus’ 17th Annual First Ladies High Tea held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on September 13.

While Emmy and Tony Award winning actress Cicely Tyson received the Legacy Award, actresses Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle, Undercovers), actress Alley Mills (The Bold & The Beautiful, The Wonder Years) and First Lady of Antioch Church Myesha Chaney (Preachers of L.A.) were also honored.

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts has launched her own production company — Rock’n Robin Productions. The 30-plus year TV veteran cited her late parents as the inspiration for the move. “They wanted me to do this — to be on the creative end of things,” Roberts announced on her top rated morning show.

We are devastated, and just as surprised as the country is," Ken McCain said of the news his nephew, Douglas McAuthur McCain, a 33-year old African American, who was killed in Syria while fighting for terrorist organization ISIS last month.

“His death,” says Richard Barret, a former British intelligence officer, “is further evidence that Americans are going there to fight for ISIS and are prepared to attack where directed.”
