Thanksgiving 2022: What Southern California casinos are serving this holiday season

If your biggest effort on Thanksgiving Day is simply showing up to eat, these Southern California casinos have got you covered.

Whether it’s a traditional sit-down turkey dinner with all the trimmings or family-style dinners to-go, casino eateries are offering a wide variety of prix-fixe menus or multi-course meals with several entrée, side and dessert options, all-you-can eat buffets or more basic single-serving Thanksgiving-style sandwiches.

Be sure to call ahead when ordering the to-go options and making reservations in advance is strongly recommended.

Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City

360 Sports (Cathedral City):  Open-faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes, cranberry chutney, turkey gravy and green bean fries. Served all day. $20.

Café One Eleven: Multi-course menu with a starter choice of butternut bisque with cream, brown butter and candied pepitas or roasted beet salad with smoked goat cheese, orange segments, chicories, candied pistachios, and champagne vinaigrette. The main entree is roasted turkey with Boursin mashed potatoes, gravy, sage stuffing, candied sweet potatoes, French green beans and cranberry chutney. For dessert, pumpkin pie with whipped cream. 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Curbside orders are available and must be placed by Monday. Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. at aguacalientecasinos.com. The Steakhouse (Rancho Mirage): Multi-course menu with a starter of Delicata squash soup with pumpkin brunoise, toasted pumpkin seeds and brown buttercream, roasted persimmon salad with baby greens, cashews, Manchego cheese and champagne vinaigrette. The main entrée is turkey breast, dark meat confit, sausage stuffing with golden raisins and walnuts, green bean casserole, sweet potato-root vegetable gratin, topped with a citrus-cranberry relish and turkey gravy. Desert is bread pudding with salted caramel ice cream. 5-10 p.m. $75 per person. Reservations recommended.

Waters Café: Three-course meal includes choice of butternut squash bisque with cinnamon crème Fraiche or baby mixed greens with cranberries, dates, cherry tomatoes, candied walnuts, warm bacon vinaigrette, and goat cheese. Entrée features turkey with smashed Yukon Gold potatoes, cornbread sausage stuffing, candied yams, Brussels sprouts, turkey gravy, and cranberry relish. Dessert is an individual pumpkin pie. 11 a.m.-10 p.m. $38.

Thanksgiving-To-Go (Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage): Serves 6-8. Meal includes whole roasted sage turkey, butternut squash bisque, baby spinach salad, chestnut sage stuffing, whipped potatoes, gravy, roasted yams, green beans, orange cinnamon cranberry relish, bread rolls, pumpkin pie and New York-style cheesecake. $220. Must be ordered by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, via aguacalientecasinos.com. Meal pickup is Thursday, Nov. 24, between 11 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.

Fresh Grill Buffet: The all-you-can-eat buffet will offer options such as maple roasted turkey breast, slow-roasted prime rib and honey mustard glazed Virginia ham, New York steaks, braised bone-in beef short ribs, baked Atlantic salmon, mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread stuffing with maple roasted sausage, candied sweet potatoes plus a variety of Italian, Asian and Latin specialties. POM: An à la carte menu features options such as baby spinach and arugula salad with warm dinner rolls and whipped butter ($11 each). Morongo Thanksgiving to Go: Serves 8. Three dinner options include 16-18-pound whole turkey ($210), 8-pound slow roasted prime rib ($260) or 8-pound glazed ham ($215). Sides and dessert for all dinners include mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, sage stuffing, haricots verts, baby carrots, creamed pearl onions, baked yams with honey and marshmallows, rolls and butter and choice of apple, pecan or pumpkin pie. Great Oak Steakhouse: A four-course meal with butternut squash bisque to start, followed by a butter lettuce salad filled with dried apples, mission figs, topped with cherry vinaigrette. Journey’s End: A Thanksgiving buffet with egg and omelet stations, salad bar, and meat carving stations with Santa Maria rubbed tri-tip, honey spiral ham and roasted turkey. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. $48 for adults and $24 for children.

Kelsey’s Bar and Grill: A four-course meal with a choice of chopped pumpkin or house-mixed salad. Next, choose between bourbon Hasselback yams or cauliflower and broccolini gratin. For entrées, a choice of a turkey dinner with stuffing, gravy, Brussels sprouts, and cornbread or pork tenderloins served with scorn squash, parsnip puree and asparagus. Paisano’s: A three-course Thanksgiving dinner with a starter choice of butternut squash soup served with shaved pancetta or an apple salad with winter greens and a mustard vinaigrette. Pechanga Café: An a la carte menu features a roasted turkey entrée with mashed potatoes, green bean gratin, and sweet potato cornbread stuffing, served with gravy and cranberry sauce for $32. Add pumpkin pie for dessert for $10. All day.
