One Church LA Joins The Potter’s House Family

One Church LA, one of the fastest growing churches in Los Angeles, has officially become part of The Potter’s House Family. Pastor Toure Roberts, who founded the church in 2002, will have double duty as pastor of The Potter’s House Denver location, which was formerly led by Chris Hill, who tendered his resignation in April.

The word was made official in Roberts’ Instagram post on Sunday, stating: “Today, history was made and its effect was felt across all of the Potter House Church campuses including the latest addition (@onechurchla). It was further personally amazing to formally take the helm of @tphdenver and to rejoice with such a resilient congregation as we looked to all the wonderful things that God has in store! Extremely grateful for our visionary, covering and head @bishopjakes! Epic day!” Bishop Jakes, who preached all three services at One Church LA, posted a statement of his own. “Potter's House of One LA @onechurchla is now officially connected to @tphdallas and its affiliates for the up building of God's kingdom. @toureroberts and @sarahjakesroberts will provide oversight there while assuming the pastoral role of @tphdenver! I flew in to preach the inaugural service!” Holding down two churches will, no doubt, be somewhat of a juggling act. On Sunday, while Bishop Jakes was at One Church LA, Pastor Toure was in Denver and Sarah Jakes-Roberts was preaching at the Potter’s House Dallas. Last night, Pastor Toure held down the mid-week worship in L.A., while his wife led the service in Denver. The Potter’s House at One LA brings the number of locations of Jakes’ Potter’s House family to five, including Dallas, North Dallas, Fort Worth, Denver and now Los Angeles. The Potter’s House—with more than 30,000 on its rolls—is one of the largest and most influential churches in the nation.
