Kevin Hart’s Salary Predicted to Triple in 2014

Categories // Entertainment Wednesday, 05 February 2014

Kevin Hart may make his living cracking jokes, but the money he pulls in at the box office is serious business for studio execs.

He was #6 on Forbes list of “The Top Earning Comedians of 2013” with a $14 million net worth, but the financial magazine pointed to bigger things to come with an article titled “Why Kevin Hart Is A Much Bigger Deal Than You Think.”

Seems they were right on the money. Just one month into 2014 and Hart, star/creator of the BET mock reality show "Real Husbands of Hollywood," is on track to be one of the industry’s highest paid celebrities. In its two weekend take at the top of the box office charts his latest film “Ride Along” with Ice Cube grossed more than $75 million. Three more projects in the works (including “About Last Night” and “Think Like A Man Too”) add up to a combined salary of $25 million, with his net worth expected to rise to over $50 million.

Not bad for the 34-year-old from North Philadelphia who worked as a shoe sales man before pursuing a career in stand up comedy even after being booed off stage several times.
