Inside Hollywood with Neily Dickerson

Happy New Year and in the words of the great song, “Baby it’s Cold Outside”, here’s a suggestion of how to stay warm. Let’s pull out our blankets and socks and snuggle up on the couch to enjoy some online streaming entertainment.

There are some great movies and shows on the top streaming channels that will keep you totally entertained for the month of January, so check out some of these gems.  Warning, all are not wholesome, but I promise they’re enjoyable.

There’s this amazingly interesting show on HULU called the, THE HANDMAIDS TALE. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and check it out. It’s a bit overwhelming, but the story is very interesting.

NETFLIX’s SHE’S GOTTA HAVE IT is still smart, silly & sexy. Spike Lee has revived the 1986 hit movie, making it into an enjoyable series where we get to experience the antics of Nola Darling.

I also fell in love with the CABLE GIRLS, a Spanish period drama, translated into English that was unexpectedly great. Season 2 is available now.

And then there’s THE CROWN.  If you know me, then you know I love all things involving the royal family. The pomp and circumstance that surrounds them is wonderful. Also, the time spent developing the characters, even if what is implied is simply a suggestion, is good stuff. Season 1 was fantastic and season 2 is even better.  If you want to see a lil’ action, check out THE DEFENDERS.
