Marvin Sapp Humbled by Grammy/NAACP Image Award Nominations

“Even after more than 25 years in the music business, award nominations are an exciting and a tremendous honor,” said award-winning gospel star Marvin Sapp of recent nominations for both the 60th annual Grammy Awards and the 49th NAACP Image Awards. Sapp’s GRAMMY nomination is for Best Gospel Album, and he is nominated for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Album for the 49th NAACP Image Awards. This marks his 11th GRAMMY nomination, and his fourth NAACP Image Award nomination. Both nods are in recognition of his 11th album, “Close”, which was released September 29th on Verity Records. “Close” delivered Sapp’s fifth consecutive #1 album debut.
