Bill Cosby Falls From No. 3 Rank Of Most Trusted Celebrity

At 77-years-old, Bill Cosby, the once-beloved actor and favorite TV dad has fallen from the American people’s graces. In just under a month, the comedian, who broke racial barriers on television with “The Cosby Show,” slid from third in a list of most trusted celebrities to number 2,615 amidst renewed accusations that he drugged and sexually assaulted more than a dozen women over many years.

In light of allegations, Cosby, the popular face of Temple University in advertisements, fundraising campaigns and commencement speeches, has also resigned from the board of trustees, a seat he had held since 1982.

"I have always been proud of my association with Temple University. I have always wanted to do what would be in the best interests of the university and

its students," Cosby said in a statement issued by the school.

"Will they also be giving him back the millions he's donated?" tweeted singer Jill Scott, in Cosby’s defense.

NBC recently announced it was shelving a planned sitcom starring Cosby, Neflix indefinitely postponed a Cosby comedy special and TV Land pulled reruns of The Cosby Show off the air.

Cosby has denied claims made against him and has not been charged. He is currently on tour performing his stand-up routine.
