Blacks Light Up Fall TV Lineup

Television is getting a little more colorful this fall with blacks and minorities playing more key roles in the upcoming season.

Below is a list of new or returning prime time shows expected to air during the 2014-15 season helmed by a black actor or starring a mostly black cast.

• “Black-ish” (ABC) – Starring Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross. Season 2: Wednesday, Sept. 30.
• “The Blacklist” (NBC) – Costarring Harry Lennix. Season 3: Thursday, Oct. 1
• “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (FOX) – With Terry Crews, Andre Braugher. Season 3: Sunday, Sept. 27.
• “Empire” (FOX) – Starring Taraji P. Henson & Terrence Howard. Season 2: Wednesday, Sept. 23.

• “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC) – Costarring Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr. Season 12: Thursday, Sept. 24.
• “How to Get Away with Murder” (ABC) – Starring Viola Davis. Season 2: Thursday, Sept. 24.
• “Minority Report” (Fox) – Starring Meagan Good. Season 1: Monday, September 28
• “Rosewood” (FOX) – Starring Morris Chestnut, Lorraine Toussaint. Season 1: Wednesday, Sept. 23.
• “The Player” (NBC) – Costarring Wesley Snipes. Season 1: Thursday, Sept. 24.
• “Scandal” (ABC) – Starring Kerry Washington. Season 5: Thursday, Sept. 24.
• “Scream Queens” (FOX) Costarring Keke Palmer, Niecy Nash. Season 1: Tuesday, Sept. 22.
• “Survivor’s Remorse” (Starz) – Starring RonReaco Lee; Teyonah Parris. Season 2: Saturdays.
• “Truth Be Told” – Costarring Tone Bell, Bresha Webb; executive produced by Will Packer. Season 1: Friday, Oct 16.
