Magic Johnson Joins The Marvel Experience
NBA 2-Time Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson recently confirmed that he has become an investor and Board Member for Hero Ventures’ The Marvel Experience.
“The Marvel Experience is a traveling destination that not only provides unique high quality entertainment for families and fans of all ages but will create jobs in each city that it visits,” said Johnson. “I’m excited to partner with Hero Ventures and bring this affordable entertainment option around the world; specifically to ethnically diverse communities that over-index as followers of the Marvel Super Heroes.
The Marvel Experience’s massive Dome complex launches January 10, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. The singular story line running through the Experience will
engage guests for two hours or more, and features a dynamic 4D motion ride, the world’s only 360- degree Stereoscopic 3D Dome, technologically advanced interactive and immersive elements, state of the art projection techniques and dozens of Marvel Super Heroes.
The Business Resource Group and Business Credit Institute Unite to Launch the African American Credit Advancement Initiative
The Business Resource Group and Business Credit Institute, along with major banks and a coalition of African American organizations recently launched the African American Credit Advancement Initiative at University of Southern California Davidson Conference Center.
The goal of the initiative is to bring together collaborators to develop long-term financial solutions and strategies to aid those businesses, which have not benefitted from California’s financial rebound.
“With commercial lending to California African- American owned businesses at a historic low, the African American Credit Advancement Initiative is being positioned to increase access to capital for California’s African-American businesses. Over the next year, the African American Credit Advancement Initiative will convene African American leaders across California to work together to improve conditions that are impacting Black businesses’ ability to access capital,” said Sharon Evans, president and CEO, Business Resource Group.
50 Cent Signs $78M Underwear Deal
After losing a $15 million legal battle early in the year and having his personal account frozen for failing to pay up, 50 Cent proves to still be a savvy businessman, closing a $78 million underwear deal with FRIGO Revolution Wear, a high-end men’s underwear line.
The men’s briefs are $100 per pair but 50 defends the hefty price tag stating “women spend so much money on lingerie, it’s the right project for men.”
