No Presidential Bid For Oprah: “I Don’t Have The DNA For It

Oprah Winfrey has the final word and the word and word is no as she put to rest the growing speculation about a possible presidential bid in an interview with In Style Magazine

“I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me,” the media mogul told In Style. “I don’t have the DNA for it.”
Just two days ago, a CNN poll found that Winfrey edged out Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden in favorability ratings among voters and would beat Trump in a 2020 matchup.
Speculation had been growing since Winfrey made a powerful acceptance speech after being honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award for Lifetime Achievement at the Golden Globes Awards last month.
“In my career, what I’ve always tried my best to do, whether on television or through film, is to say something about how men and women really behave. To say how we experience shame, how we love and how we rage, how we fail, how we retreat, persevere, and how we overcome,” she said on that night.
