One Church First Lady Sarah Jakes Releases New Book

Pregnant at 14, married by 19, divorced by 23, and all while under the intense spotlight of being Bishop T.D. Jakes’s daughter

Sarah Jakes Roberts knows what it is like to break destructive cycles and discover the best that life has to offer to anyone who refuses to settle. Now an internationally renowned speaker, best-selling author, happily married supermom and businesswoman, Roberts shares the secrets that helped her to overcome. In her new book, Don’t Settle for Safe: Embracing the Uncomfortable to Become Unstoppable, Roberts shares the numerous life lessons she’s learned along the way with other women, helping them to see that they’re not disqualified by their pain and past mistakes.  “Life’s challenges promise us endless opportunities to reassess, reevaluate, and push beyond the boundaries of comfort over and over again,” writes Roberts. “No one understands that more than I do.” Now remarried and leading a church with her husband in Los Angeles, Roberts shows you how to take serious inventory of your baggage, while realizing the best that life has to offer without settling. Four books have documented her path to self-discovery—her memoir ‘Lost & Found’; a devotional book, (“Colliding with Destiny: Finding Hope in the Legacy of Ruth)” and a book for mothers, (“Dear Mary: Lessons From the Mother of Jesus for the Modern Mom).” “I’ve had so many changes in my life,” she told EURWeb. “I have an incredible marriage now. I live in the Los Angeles area and I’ve seen so much transformation take place in my life. I really didn’t recognize how I got to this point until I sat down and started writing this book. I realize that a lot of times in order for us to manage a life that we love on the outside it first has to do with doing some serious work and thinking on the inside. Don’t Settle for Safe is less about my story and more about giving women and men tools and resources necessary for them to discover what their unstoppable is and what their life and journey is all about.”
