Tyler Perry's 'Madea on the Run' Comes To Los Angeles
Listen up Madea fans, Tyler Perry is bringing his saucy, callous grandmother to a Los Angeles stage near you.
Now touring the country, “Madea On The Run” will stop at the Dolby theater for three nights only starting October 23.
Starring Tyler Perry as Madea, and Cassi Davis as Aunt Bam, “Madea On The Run” delivers a couple hours of pure joy and laughter.
Perry, who descibes the play as a “live comedy” as well as a “traveling concert tour” told amNewYork, "Madea On The Run" is about just that -- her running from the law, again, and hiding out at her friend's house for a few days. “That friend's family is having a lot of very real problems that plague our society
today, and helping get families in order is what Madea has her own way of doing. So she does that.”
With brand new music written by Tyler Perry, the show delivers a finger snapping and inspirational evening of live theater.
“What I love about Madea's evolution is that it's slow and old school and not politically correct,” Perry continued “That's where it stands. She's older, but still as brash as ever.”
Madea On The Run will be showing at the Dolby Theater, located at Hollywood & Highland, from Oct. 23 to 25. Ticket prices start at $59. Visit www.tylerperry.com for more info.
